Frequently asked questions
Can I start at the consulate without an AIMA decision?
Under the usual route, the consular stage follows AIMA's authorisation. Check whether a special regime applies.
Does the visa immediately provide a residence card?
No: issuing the residence permit is a later stage.
Does the whole family need exactly the same documents?
No: age, relationship, custody and dependency can change the evidence required.
